About Suzanna
Hi, my name is Suzanna Walsh. I am a Music Performance major at Lee University, currently in my second semester of study, with over 11 years of experience in music. I am passionate about music education and enjoy helping students understand music theory and music reading in a clear, approachable, and meaningful way. My goal is to create a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel confident, capable, and motivated to succeed.

My name is Suzanna. I am an undergraduate Music Performance major offering tutoring in music theory and music reading. I work specifically with middle and high school students, as well as students who are new to music or just beginning their musical journey.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and structured. I break down music theory and reading concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps so students don’t feel overwhelmed. I focus on helping students truly understand the material rather than memorize it, which builds confidence and long-term success.
A typical lesson includes a review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, guided practice, and clear goals for continued improvement. Lessons are flexible and adapted to each student’s learning style, school curriculum, and pace.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, gaining confidence, and developing strong music-reading and theory skills that support their overall musical growth.
