About Evan
I currently live in NYC pursuing a career in production and engineering. I have experience running all types of sessions, from thrown-together DIY home setups to world-renowned recording studios, working with artists, session players, engineers, and more. I also play shows around New York occasionally on bass, piano, and guitar, and can additionally pick up drums and banjo. I am proficient in Pro Tools, Ableton, FL-Studio, and Logic. I specialize in genres like indie/alternative rock, alt-country, and Americana, but also have experience in hip-hop, R&B, and jazz. Beyond music, I love to teach, and it fulfills a deeper purpose for me. I'm especially good with kids, genuinely love working with them, and bring that same talent and care to teaching that I do to my own playing.

My goal is to meet you wherever you're at and help you get to where you want to go — whether that's learning your first guitar chords, producing your first song, or engineering and producing out of professional studios. The passion comes as much from the journey as it does from mastery, and my lessons balance building technical proficiency without losing the joy and beauty along the way. I'm also open to having a more fluid role when it's useful, offering advice on record promotion, managing social media, negotiation, booking your first show, writing contracts, and protecting your intellectual property. My lessons are for beginners, people turning this into a career, and everyone in between.
