My teaching method consists of letting my student realise what area or style suits them best and help them improve and delve more into that style while also giving them a consistent knowledge of musical theory (scales, arpeggios, music theory tests if required for exams), technique and diversity in their playing. I approach my lessons in a relaxed, fun and nurturing manner and make sure my students are encouraged to do the best they can, learn all they can and hopefully become the best musician they can be.
I am a music performance student at The University of Aberdeen. I have been playing saxophone for 7 years and have an extensive knowledge of the instrument. I have grade 8 ABRSM and have seen positive grades in my performance recitals. As well as this I have a solid knowledge of musical theory, keyboard skills, won awards for my musical compositions and have played in professionally produced Edinburgh Fringe productions. I also have teaching experience helping out at Edinburgh Young Musicians and private tuitions in Aberdeen.
The only thing that would increase my hourly rate is if a student lived outside of Aberdeen.
