About Alex
I have been learning music from when I was 8 years old. Since I began piano and violin lessons, I have always loved composing music and understanding the theory behind it and why certain things sound good and others don't. I am trained as a classical musician, however, I have a passion for Jazz and other genres that push the boundaries of harmony and the feelings that can produce in listeners

I teach music theory and composition of all levels. I teach students music theory according to exam syllabuses and even tertiary level. I also teach principles of Harmony and Counterpoint, and how they can be used (and broken) during music composition and production.
Lesson length varies depending on the age and level of the student.
