About the lesson
Piano: I prefer a one on one approach as I feel like my students benefit the most from this and we can get quite a bit done in the lessons. I offer 30 minute lessons, or 1 hour lessons depending on the needs of my students.
11+/maths/English: I do one-on-one or group sessions depending on what my students prefer. As some work better with one to one attention, and others prefer a group setting as they may be able to apply a competitive yet fun approach to learning.

I’ve achieved grade 8 in Piano (final grade) along with grade 5 theory at the age of 10.
Having played several instruments from the age of 3, including: piano, violin, cello, flute, saxophone and guitar, I am now passionate to share this gift and teach those who’d like to learn a new skill.
I also achieved an A* in Music at GCSE level, along with an A in maths and a B in English literature and language.
Sona is a friendly and outstanding piano tutor. She is very committed, professional in her approach when delivering piano lessons. She understands how to motivate learners. Her teaching style will benefit students of all ages, with a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge.
I have known Sona from the church community where she was an assistant accompanist and was also a member of the young choral group. She is an accomplished Grade 8 qualified Pianist. She also teaches English and Maths to young kids preparing for 11+ and more.
Sona is a very intelligent and very capable tutor. She has a passion for teaching and so far her effort with my son on the Grade 3 ABRSM exam is very fantastic and he should hopefully be the exam this summer.
She has a very good theoretical and practical-based skills and will make a wert good tutor for young learners.
