I start with three mixed-review problems to see which prerequisite skills are shaky. A typical 60-minute lesson includes a mental math opener, step-by-step modeling, paired practice with me, independent work with checking, and a two-problem exit slip. My strength is helping students catch their own mistakes before I point them out. My students include pre-algebra through Algebra 2 learners in grades 7 through 11.
