About Jalen
The gift of language is fascinating. It's how we communicate with each other in this big world! My studies in Anthropology have given me a wide understanding of the human mind, and I love to help others when they need it. If there is one thing I have learned in college, it is that reading and writing is the most valuable skill. So, why not enhance that skill and be the best that you can be? Language is the most important tool we have, and having the ability to write a killer essay or simply read a book can take you farther in your academic career than you may realize.

I am a very laid back teacher, and I have a very nurturing and understanding approach. I understand that in order for us to learn, our basic needs need to be met first! I always ensure my students have everything they need and are taken care of so they can use their minds to the fullest potential.
I have roughly 6 years of teaching and coaching experience for all ages in many different skill sets! My lessons will benefit ages K-12, and lessons will be tailored to the student's needs depending on what they find the most challenging or what they would like to improve on in English.
