About Sergio
I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I got to know Jiu Jitsu 26 years ago and started training at the CBA academy with Professor Júlio Mariano, formed by master Roberto Godoi of the G13 BJJ academy; after a few years, I had to leave because of work, but when I moved with my wife to the USA in the state of New Jersey, soon I returned to training with Professor George Sernack trained by Master Renzo Gracie. After almost 4 years, I moved again to the state of Illinois/Chicago, where I immediately started training at Gracie Barra Libertyville with Professor Jamil Fakhoury trained by Professor Carlos Lemos. My biggest passion is being with my family as much time as I can and my other passion is being on the mat, learning, and sharing with friends who become my family.
