About Madhurmanan
I'm Madhurmanan Verma, originally from Panipat, Haryana. I completed my schooling at K.R. Mangalam World School, Panipat, where I was the school topper in both my 10th and 12th board exams. I'm currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), now in my second year.
Alongside my academics, chess has been a defining part of my journey — one I've carried from the competitive board into teaching. Over the past 1.5 years, I've coached students from complete beginners to confident, improving players, with one of my students, a 10-year-old, now holding an international FIDE rating of 1464. Watching that kind of growth is what keeps me passionate about coaching, and I'm looking forward to continuing to teach and help more young players build the same foundation and confidence in the game.

I specialize in one thing: turning complete beginners into confident, club-level intermediate players. If your child has never touched a chessboard before, that's exactly where I love to start. I break everything down — piece movement, basic tactics, board vision — into simple, engaging steps, so nothing feels overwhelming. From there, we steadily build their opening repertoire, sharpen their calculation, and grow their in-game decision-making, until they're playing with real skill and confidence.
What sets my coaching apart is that every lesson comes from real competitive experience — not just textbook theory. I know what it takes to compete at the national and Commonwealth level, and I bring that same structured, results-driven approach to every student I teach, no matter where they're starting from.

Classes are ₹1000 for a 1hr 15min session, and I offer a trial lesson so you can experience my teaching style firsthand before committing
