About David
The first experience I had with teaching was in my university years. I started offering private lessons to children who struggled with English, Spanish, and French in the city I studied, Granada (Spain). As a tutor, I tailored my lessons in a way that my pupils could learn while they were having fun. Every time my students improved their marks, I felt an indescribable feeling of pride. From that point forward, I decided that education was the area I would specialize in. After finishing my BA in English Studies, I decided to join a MA in secondary school teaching and a MA in Spanish Language development.
In my MA in secondary school teaching, I had the opportunity to teach Spanish Language and Literature to two classes (Second and Fourth year of high school in Spain) and Spanish, Art, and History to an SEN class. I created there an adaptive and personalized methodology that ensured the acquisition of both knowledge and values. In this way, I aimed to facilitate the entry of my students into the globalized and ever-changing society we live.
After finishing my second MA, I started working in a Sixth Form College in Hull, UK,. Since then, I work with small groups of students, preparing them for their A-level exams. My duties include the preparation of multi-sensory materials, grammar support, speaking practice, and the provision of extra resources to enhance learning.
In the future, I would like to continue teaching and learning by helping adults reach their personal, academic, and professional goals in Spanish.

I like to teach in a respectful and relaxing atmosphere, where I identify the strengths and weaknesses of my learners and, from them, we could build new knowledge cooperatively through the use of interactive tasks. I believe the key to master a language is to introduce new concepts gradually and systematically, providing constant feedback and motivating students in every lesson.
