About Ciara
I am a postgraduate student in Psychological Therapies living in Edinburgh. I grew up in France for 18 years and am passionate about helping others improve their French language skills, both in understanding and speaking. I take a structured, goal-driven approach while providing a supportive environment that promotes confidence and success.

I have experience tutoring primary school children and currently work daily with children and young people aged 8–25 in a therapeutic setting. This allows me to adapt my teaching style to suit different ages, needs, and learning styles, while working collaboratively to set clear, achievable goals and track progress over time.
As a bilingual French and English speaker, I explain concepts clearly in both languages and help learners build confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking French.
Lessons are 1 hour long and can take place weekly or bi-weekly. I offer structured lessons for learners from primary school up to A-level French, having studied to bilingual French Baccalaureate standard. Sessions have a clear focus, with manageable, time-bound goals to ensure you are achieving what you want from your learning.
I also offer 1-hour conversational sessions for all ages, focusing on improving pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency in a relaxed, supportive way.
