I am able to give lessons at various different levels, up to university. My approach remains very flexible and often depends on what works with the student in question. I am a strong believer that, in order to become an effective communicator in a language, practice and repetition are key. My methods are thus in a large part based on oral expression and comprehension. A strong oral ability will help tremendously in writing. Once again, rather than simply giving lessons, my methods will focus on letting the student practice, while giving feedback to help him improve.
Of course, if the student in question is following French classes in school, I will be able to assist him in his homework, as well as giving meaningful feedback on his prior work.
My name is Jonathan and I'm a native French speaker bilingual in English and Swedish.
I mostly grew up in and around Paris and studied at an international school where I graduated high school in a bilingual program with excellent grades in Maths, Science, French, and English.
I lived for a few years in New York City as a kid, that is where I learned English. I really enjoy sports and I have played football for over then years (Paris Saint Germain is from my town and is my favorite team :) and I have enjoyed being the captain of my handball team for five years through both defeat and success. I also worked as a babysitter for the kids in the neighborhood.
I'm a young and easy-going guy and it was not so long ago I was in middle school or high school myself. I remember how it can be difficult to stay motivated and focused on school. I also know that doing the work and getting good grades is what allowed me to move abroad and try new exciting things.
Do your children need some motivation and help with their french, maths or physics homework or maybe preparing for tests? Please contact me - I would be happy to help.
I am currently a student at King's College London in Economics and Management, with 1st as the expected grade.
I have multiple experiences in both babysitting and tutoring, and these have always proven to go smoothly.
I completed my Baccalauréat (high-school diploma) in France with "Très Bien" honors and an average of 17,4/20, with most notably a 15/20 in French, both oral and written, and a 18/20 in philosophy.
I am of course perfectly fluent in English as well, as I have lived several years in New York when I was younger.
