About Ketsia

I’m a 25-year-old science teacher from France. After studying Biology, Geology, and Pedagogy, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Sorbonne University in Paris. My studies led me to write a thesis on a specific topic that I wanted to explore further: the additional impact of neuroscience on the learning process. My studies and dedication enabled me to pass the French National Education exam. I then worked for two years in the French education system. I also served as a leader for the school’s eco-delegate students — those involved in ecological projects. My commitment in this field led me to be selected for the first Summer Camp organized by COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This international event brought together young teachers from around the world (66 nationalities were represented). The goal was to deliver a special program on how to teach the challenges linked to climate change. I’m also a self-taught painter, working mainly with oil and acrylic, focusing on realistic portraits that explore texture and shadow. I love the open-mindedness that art encourages — it’s such a unique form of expression, different for each person. I particularly enjoy sharing art and creative processes with others. I organized volunteer workshops for students interested in art. My objective is to share all those skills according to the need of each student.

As every child is different, each one has their own way of expressing themselves, their own strengths and weaknesses, and their own unique needs. The best response to this is to create a tailored program for each child. My goal is not simply to come and teach for an hour about French or Science. I want to help them grow both inside and outside the school system — to develop their learning methods, study habits, and the essential qualities for success such as discipline, open-mindedness, curiosity, and above all, a love for what they are learning. Learning is about having fun and making mistakes. I encourage my students to make many mistakes — and to learn just as much from them. Disciplined and fun, methodical and creative, each lesson is designed to unlock new skills or strengthen those already acquired. These different skills are developed through various approaches - traditional academic methods, as well as through the practice of art and sport. There are no standard sessions: each one can revolve around learning and creativity, or even relaxation through sport or art, as long as it's adapted to the needs of the student and their parents.
