I give lessons to GCSES and A-level students to practice their oral, comprehension and written skills.
Students usually come to me knowing the skill they need to improve and we practice it several times over several weeks. Students should know the basics of French and wanting to reduce mistakes. We work on grammar, conjugation and vocabulary.
I usually use a story-telling method as it is the best way to memorise a language technique or rule. It also makes it more entertaining and fun to learn French as it can be a tricky language.
This technique also helps feeling more confident quickly as you remember the rules better over time and it become second nature.
Until 5hours prior to class to cancel. If the class is held in the morning (9am-12pm), I need to know by 10pm the previous evening.
I will otherwise charge the cost of the class as I will have made arrangements.
I have taught two native english students using the method described above. I take each student and their previous knowledge into account and we first assessed where they are at and which skill needs to be tackled first.
My students improved the skills they previously had problems with, I then highlighted other skills they could improve. I could tell by the 3rd lesson they were starting to click with the rule, they then felt more confident over time and specifically during their exam.
