About Lavanya
Bonjour!
I'm Lavanya, a native French speaker from Toulouse, France. I'm fluent in both French and English, having spent three years in English secondary schools as a teenager. I understand exactly what British students need to succeed in French - because I've been on both sides of the classroom.
I'm currently training to become a qualified secondary French teacher (PGCE) at King's College London, starting September 2026. Teaching languages is my passion, and I bring patience, enthusiasm, and real-world French to every lesson.

About the lesson

I believe the best way to learn French is by using it. My lessons are interactive and conversation-focused from the first minute. I speak French with you as much as possible, adapting to your level so you build confidence naturally.
For exam preparation, I combine structured practice with real-life application. We work through past papers, I teach you the techniques examiners are looking for, and we drill speaking and writing until they feel effortless. Grammar? I make it digestible - clear explanations, no endless verb tables.
Lesson structure
Each lesson lasts 60 minutes: warm-up conversation, focused practice on your goals, and a short recap. Light homework available if you want extra practice.
Who I teach
GCSE and A-Level students, adults learning for travel or work, and anyone who wants to feel more confident speaking French. Beginners to advanced.
