About Jinyang
My name is Jinyang and I'm from Beijing, China. I came to Australia in 2017, graduated high school on the Gold Coast and am currently studying Bachelor of Advanced Science at The University of Queensland. Mandarin is my mother tongue and I have a tremendous passion for traditional Chinese culture. I love reading poems and knowing things about Chinese history. There are certain ideas and philosophies that are unique to Chinese culture and I love sharing those with other people as they have provided new perspectives in our lives.

Although Mandarin is one of the most difficult languages to learn, it is also lots of fun! Being a native speaker from Beijing I will break down the structure of each Chinese character, teach you the correct pronunciation and demonstrate to you the grammar in written communication. I will also show you some verbal shortcuts that are commonly used. My teaching will suit your requirement, whether you are a beginner or intermediate, or you would like to know more about traditional Chinese culture. Although this is my first official role as a language tutor, I have been helping out my friends at high school as well as at university with their Mandarin studies.
I'm confident to teach any age and any level, the length of a lesson is really flexible and can be discussed.
