About Ella
Hi, this is Ella! I am a native Mandarin Speaker. I was born and raised in Luoyang(洛阳), an ancient city with a long history and culture, and went to high school and college in the United States. I graduated from UCLA with Asian Studies major. My major allows me to learn a lot about Chinese culture, history, literature, poetry, and popular culture.
For my daily life, I like listening to music, studying Chinese history and culture, and watching TV shows and dramas. Besides Mandarin and English, I can also speak a little Korean! I'm a huge K-pop fan, If you like K-POP and Chinese POP Culture too, I am looking forward to communicating with you in my class！
I‘d like to learn the most practical and authentic everyday Chinese expressions with you, and explore Chinese culture together!

- Pinyin, pronunciation, and Chinese Character learning with HSK/YCT if you are a beginner or if you want a systematic study!
- Can help you with your homework
- In the class, the primary language will be Mandarin, which means that I will be speaking Chinese most of the time and the students will do the same. Of course, if you are a beginner, I will use English as secondary language to help you learn and understand Mandarin.
