About Celina
I’m a native Mandarin speaker originally from China and have been living and working in the UK for many years. I’m a qualified accountant with a professional career in the UK, so I’m comfortable communicating with people from different backgrounds and age groups.
I’m a friendly, patient and approachable person, and I enjoy helping others learn Mandarin in a relaxed and encouraging environment. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when it comes to speaking, so I aim to make lessons enjoyable and give students the confidence to use Mandarin naturally.
As a native speaker, I can also help students understand the language beyond textbooks — including everyday expressions, pronunciation, culture and how Mandarin is actually spoken in real life.
I’m particularly happy to work with children and beginners and to adapt lessons to suit each student's personality, interests and learning pace. Whether you want to learn Mandarin from scratch, improve your conversational skills, support your child with Chinese, or simply practise speaking with a native speaker, I’d be happy to help.

I offer friendly and personalised Mandarin lessons tailored to each student's level, goals and learning style. As a native Mandarin speaker, I can help you improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, listening and conversational skills, while building confidence in using Chinese naturally in everyday situations.
My teaching style is relaxed, patient and practical. I adapt each lesson to the student's needs rather than following a rigid programme. For beginners, we can focus on pronunciation, basic vocabulary and everyday conversations. For more advanced learners, we can work on fluency, natural conversation, vocabulary and pronunciation.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the student's age, level and preference.
I am a native Mandarin speaker and a qualified accountant, with extensive experience working in a professional environment in the UK. Although I am new to tutoring professionally, I am confident communicating in both Mandarin and English and enjoy helping others learn in a clear, patient and encouraging way.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced learners. Whether you are learning Mandarin for school, travel, work, family or simply for personal interest, I can tailor the lessons to your individual goals.
Lessons are available online or face-to-face, depending on location and preference.
