About Alba

I’m a native Mexican Spanish speaker and currently studying Business Management at King’s College London. I’ve studied in different countries, including living in Ireland for several months, so I understand what it feels like to learn and adapt to a different language and culture.
I take my tutoring seriously. I prepare my lessons properly, I’m always punctual, and I make sure students feel comfortable and supported. At the same time, I like to keep classes dynamic and engaging — I don’t believe in just memorising things without understanding them.
If you’re preparing for GCSE or A-Level Spanish, I’ll focus on exactly what examiners look for: strong vocabulary, correct grammar, clear essay structure and confident speaking. If you’re a beginner or learning for personal reasons, we’ll build your confidence step by step, focusing on pronunciation and real-life conversation.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes. I like to start with a quick recap, then introduce new content, and finish with practice so you leave the lesson feeling like you’ve actually improved.

As a native Mexican Spanish speaker and a Business Management student at King’s College London, I understand how important it is to learn a language in a clear, structured and supportive way.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence first. I adapt every lesson to the student’s level and goals, whether that is GCSE or A-Level exam preparation, improving conversation skills, or starting from complete beginner level. I combine grammar explanation with practical speaking exercises, real-life examples, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging and effective.
For exam students, I focus on vocabulary development, essay structure, reading comprehension techniques and speaking practice aligned with the exam criteria. For beginners or adults, I prioritise pronunciation, everyday communication and gradual grammar understanding.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. I usually divide it into:
• 10–15 minutes of revision
• 25–30 minutes of new content
• 15–20 minutes of practice (speaking, exercises or exam-style questions)
