About Elsy
I am a bilingual English and Spanish speaker and a recent finance graduate from UMass Dartmouth with experience mentoring, tutoring, and supporting students in academic and professional settings. Throughout university, I balanced coursework, leadership roles, work experience, and helping others succeed, which strengthened my communication and teaching skills.
I understand that learning a language can feel intimidating, so I focus on creating a welcoming, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve their Spanish skills, but also to build confidence and make learning enjoyable and practical for everyday use.

As a bilingual English and Spanish speaker, I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, whether that is improving conversation skills, school performance, grammar, pronunciation, writing, or building fluency for everyday life.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, introducing new vocabulary or grammar concepts, practicing through conversation and interactive activities, and ending with personalized feedback and goals for improvement. I focus on making lessons engaging, supportive, and practical rather than only memorization.
My lessons are ideal for beginners through intermediate learners, students taking Spanish classes, individuals preparing for exams, or anyone wanting to become more confident speaking Spanish in real-life situations. My goal is to help students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.
