About Juan
I was born in Madrid and travelled around Europe before settling in England in 1987. I married my wife from Southport and we have brought our children up to be bilingual in both Spanish and English. I have taught Spanish lessons on and off for a lot of this time.
I graduated John Moores University with a degree in History, and I have continued to have a very keen interest in this topic. I play tennis locally most days and pursue other sports such as football, and keep up to date with current news and affairs.

I will work with the student to understand their needs with learning the Spanish language. For example, whether this be help with just conversational Spanish (for those wanting to further their speaking skills whilst on holiday) and/or assistance with a deeper understanding of the Spanish language and grammar up to A-level and university level. I have a keen interest in history, politics and sport, which can be of great benefit for more involved GCSEs, college and university studies. Lessons can be done over Zoom or at your home.
