Methodology
My teaching method will vary depending on the student's age and their final goal. However, I usually organize my classes around a specific topic (a region of Spain, certain holiday...), and I find related grammar and vocabulary activities. Around once every month, I dedicate one class to review everything that has been learned. I also like to finish each class with a fun activity - a song, a game... Especially if the student is young.
Experience
Hello! I am Lucía, I just moved in to Edinburgh to study a Bioinformatics MSc at the University of Edinburgh. I have grown up in a family of language teachers: my parents and my sister are all Spanish teacher. I also have a passion for teaching, and I have been an English and Chemistry tutor for High School students since last year. During 2018/2019, I went on an academic exchange to Singapore where I lived for a year. There, I collaborated with the Spanish department of the University to carry out different activities and to support them with their Spanish studies.
