About Laura Camila
Hi, my name is Laura! I am a fourth-year bioengineering student at McGill University from Colombia who is passionate about increasing young people's interest in Latin culture by helping them understand the language that unites us together: Spanish. My lessons are mainly targeted at students who are in middle school and all the way to cegep.

Learning a new language is no easy task; however, it is not impossible. Being a polyglot myself, I have acquired many helpful tricks to learn a language from scratch.
As I believe one learns best via practice, my methods are mainly interactive; I have found this to help students develop enthusiasm to learn the language and therefore understand it with greater ease.
I like to start sessions by letting students share the difficulties they experience and the goal(s) they would like to achieve for that session. Then, we continue with a review of the concepts they did not fully grasp or would like to learn more about. Afterward, we move on to interactive learning methods before finishing the session with a recap of what we discussed and checking off the session-specific goals previously discussed.
