My teaching method largely differs depending on the level and needs of the student. When I worked as a volunteer over the summer with refugee children that had a very limited level of Spanish, I found that playing academic games that boosted their confidence and expanded their vocabulary was extremely effective. On the other hand, having in-depth discussions about literary texts when helping A-Level students proved to be very useful when they came to write literature essays under timed conditions. Either way, something that remains constant in my teaching is my insistence in speaking Spanish during the whole class to truly make the most out of every session.
I am currently studying International Relations at King's College London, but I have lived my entire life in Spain. Going to a British school, I know first hand how the GCSE and A-Level Spanish subjects work, however most of my previous tutoring experience has been with primary students so I could work with any age group at any level.
As I study at a very demanding university, I would appreciate receiving a cancellation notice the day before the class was scheduled.

A-level Spanish was challenging for everyone. Thankfully, Irene has the ability to explain the material in a clear way. This definitely helped me to succeed in that subject.
