About Nieves
I have international professional and academic experience, and my passion for English led me to live in the UK and Australia for seven years. In the UK, I worked providing travel document services to the public and answering phone calls. During my first year, I also took a Spanish course for students at the Instituto Cervantes and obtained a C1 level of English, enabling me to travel to my next destination. While in Australia, I had the opportunity to open and manage my company's first office there. My responsibilities included advising employees on their mobility options, handling customer complaints, recruiting and selecting staff, and other administrative tasks. I also completed my education, earning a Diploma in Tourism. In recent years, I have worked as a claims manager in English and currently manage visa applications for international companies worldwide. I have also been teaching English online since last year with positive results. I enjoy organizing language exchange activities and connecting with foreigners in my city to help them feel more comfortable.

I teach classes to improve listening comprehension and speaking skills for all levels, starting from scratch. I also speak English, so if it helps, I can make the grammar explanations easier. I like to make my classes dynamic, using audiovisual tools, theory books, and current events articles, and keeping the student actively involved at all times. I usually follow a structured teaching sequence for grammar, reinforcing it with reading comprehension and writing exercises. If the student wishes, I can share exercises and texts for practice at home. I also usually send documents to help students prepare for the classes, as well as files with the activities and vocabulary covered during the lessons. My teaching method is tailored to each person's needs, age, and learning pace.
