About Kieran
I recently graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Biological Sciences and minors in Global Health studies and Business Institutions. I currently work in healthcare as a medical assistant while preparing for medical school.
Science has been a major part of both my academic and professional life, but I also understand how frustrating these subjects can feel when the material is moving quickly or the fundamentals are unclear. I enjoy helping students make challenging coursework feel more manageable and building the confidence to approach problems independently.
I am dependable, patient, and organized, and I take preparation seriously. Whether a student is looking for consistent weekly support or help preparing for an upcoming exam, I want them to feel that our time together is productive, comfortable, and tailored to what they need.

I believe the best tutoring sessions are interactive and tailored to how each student learns. Rather than simply giving answers, I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, ask guiding questions, and work through practice problems until students can explain the reasoning on their own.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics or problems causing the most difficulty. We review the underlying concepts, work through examples together, and then shift toward independent practice so I can identify remaining gaps and build confidence.
As a former Northwestern biology teaching assistant, individual tutor, and drop-in science tutor, I have worked with students across a wide range of academic backgrounds and learning styles. My goal is to create a patient, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I offer tutoring in biology, chemistry, and physics for high school and college students, whether you need help understanding course material, preparing for an exam, or developing stronger problem-solving and study strategies.
