About Szymon
Through my journey of the sixth form, I have been mentoring Year 11 in preparation for their GCSEs, helping them achieve their well-deserved 9s and 7s. I taught lessons and did in-class support for three years. As a part of Future Teachers Programme, I was taught the fundamentals of teaching - so to be blunt, I was taught how to teach!
Now that my A-Level journey is over, I want to help you get through yours!

Initially, I'd spend a couple of minutes getting a feel of where you are in your studies. What works best for you, what you're struggling with, how you prefer to revise and what you're aiming to get.
Then, during our sessions, I'd give you a blank piece of paper and let you vomit all that you know about a given topic for 3 minutes. Then, we'll proceed with going through your homework I marked (if applicable) and then by learning the 'unknown'. In the end, I like to end by testing what you have learnt, be it today's or (preferably) previous lesson's topic. Or set it as homework - mua hah ha! This way, we can get your brain to try to recall information which will help you engrave that information to your brain and hopefully remember it for your exams.
But rest assured, I always try to adjust to whatever your learning style is. If you want to be spoonfed with information, I shall stuff you. If you want to go over some questions or simply have me explain some stuff, let's do that!
If you catch me off guard and ask a question I don't know, well... Best we can do is try to work it out together, or leave it with me and I will investigate!

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as you can. You might have an unplanned day out with your peers, or something else popped up or you know you won't be bothered tomorrow; it's cool, just let me know.
I do spend time preparing for each lesson and it is quite an inconvenience when you cancel last minute. Should there be a need, I might withdraw my services.
