About Luca
I was born in India to an Italian mother and an American father. My mom grew up in Italy and my dad grew up in India, so ever since I was young I had a lot of explaining to do.
I attended Claremont McKenna College in 2019 and graduated in 2023. For the past 10 months I have been teaching ELA 11 in Hawai'i as a part of the Teach for America program while also getting my Master n Education at John's Hopkins University.
At the core of my work, I hope to prepare you for college classes and help you reach that threshold of "university rigor" so you are properly prepared to succeed.

My teaching method depends on YOUR requirements. Whatever you need on the basis of your curriculum, I can work with you. My typical lesson plan will include short assignments on ReadTheory to boost your lexile level and some short answer responses to build creative output. Other than that, the lesson will be centered around focus targets specific to your curriculum.
I believe what sets me apart as a tutor is my experience with diverse curricula. Growing up in India, Italy, and the United States, I have experienced classes in the IB (international Baccalaureate) program, the AP (Advanced Placement) program, and early college classes. I believe this holistic approach to my education will give you the best chance at improving the quality of your output!
