Lessons will be structured with an introduction to a topic, core concepts and solidification of knowledge and a final recap at the end of each session.
As a computer science tutor, all resources will be online, free and accessible to each student. Tutoring sessions will also be adapted to individuals, their personal requirements and learning styles.

I am currently studying BSc Computing at Edge Hill University and am beginning my third and final year. My prior computing experience includes GCSE and A level Computing / Computer Science, as well as being MTA certified in Information Security Fundamentals.
I run a blog in spare time, Cocktails and Code, where I post tutorials and resources for computing and business.
Previously, I have been a young leader with the Scouts and I often run demonstrations at my university for prospective students.
Edge Hill University / Student Assistant
I volunteer at my university to support my department during open and applicant days. As these dates and activities aren’t always known, I have a flexible work schedule and adapt to suit the days’ requirement. However, each event involves persuading prospective students to apply and often involved leading demonstrations with the equipment.

Binary Consultancy / Technical Assistant
I joined Binary Consultancy for a couple of weeks to gain experience with network systems and providing IT support to small businesses. I rebuilt and fixed PCs, patched software and worked with the team to devise solutions for faults at external premises. This flexible area of work required a lot of multi-tasking and keeping to strict deadlines.

Perfect! My 12y old had his first lesson with Lauren and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lauren is motivating, enthusiastic, and she built a good rapport with my son, who was keen to talk about what he had learned during the lesson. The lesson and feedback after the lesson was excellent.
It has been a pleasure to meet both Grant and his son.
We've had one lesson currently, excluding our initial meeting, and it was terrific! Max clearly wants to learn and tried really hard in the lesson, scoring nearly 100% on our end-of-class quiz. He is a pleasure to tutor.
Absolutely amazing, Lauren explained everything really well and gave me a starting point for my assignment. Thank you so much!
She was engaging and easily able to find the gaps in my knowledge in one session!!
Lauren's lessons have really improved both my knowledge and confidence in computer science and I would definitely reccomend her to anyone looking to improve in either of these aspects for computer science!
I have known Lauren for a few years. She is an excellent mentor and tutor. I highly recommend her.
Lauren is very enthusiastic and reliable, an excellent tutor who's willing to help at any time! Highly recommend.
I've always known Lauren to intelligent, but her leadership and listening skills totally shined when I (finally) asked her for some help with our coursework. Her dedication is insane!
I've had the pleasure of being taught by Lauren at a Computer Accessibility course, where she helped with the basics of setting up and securing my home network.
She's my go-to person for IT assistance.
I love the way Lauren simplifies concepts and makes computer science fun! I've learnt so much from her, I highly recommend.
I have known Lauren for approximately 18 months. She is an extremely hard working and dedicated individual who has supported me through much of my own work, and helped me to achieve things I would never have managed without her tutoring.
I have found Lauren to be very approachable and friendly, whilst maintaining the utmost professionalism at all times. She is incredibly well organised and extremely knowledgeable in the field of computing, and this is so evident in the way she is able to break things down and teach her subject matter. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone wishing to get into this field.
LAUREN is wonderful daughter and sister who makes us all so very proud of her accomplishments. She is mature and very responsible. She is honest and kind, and can be entrusted to keep secrets or anything else for that matter. She has every persons best interest at heart.
