About Danny
I am a UK-based cornet and trumpet player with extensive experience playing principal cornet in championship section brass bands in both the UK and New Zealand. I specialise in brass band, classical and jazz performance, with a strong focus on helping students develop confident, musical and technically secure playing. My lessons are particularly suited to brass band players of all levels, whether you are preparing for contests, improving your solo cornet playing, or developing stronger section skills. I focus on tone production, articulation, breath control, sight-reading, endurance, and musical style within a brass band context. Lessons are relaxed, structured and tailored to your individual goals, whether you are learning for exams, band improvement, or personal development.

I am a UK-based cornet and trumpet player specialising in jazz, classical and brass band music. I offer relaxed and structured lessons for beginners through to intermediate players, focusing on tone, technique, sight-reading and musical confidence.
I have experience performing in brass bands and enjoy helping students develop strong fundamentals as well as musical expression, whether they are learning for fun or working towards exams.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s improving jazz improvisation, preparing for brass band playing, or building solid classical technique. I aim to make learning enjoyable, practical and progress-driven.
