I have a laid-back approach with the aim of keeping workshops fun and relaxed and thus more productive. Working with prompts is a main part of my setup as it enables the writer to think outside of their comfort zone and learn whilst enjoying it. Editing is also a key part of writing, so there will be a strong focus on this, with discussion and sharing of ideas to help the student understand where they need to improve.
I have worked in workshop scenarios before, both running and participating. My primary focus is making them enjoyable as writing is easier when one is relaxed. The workshops will be personalised for the student so that they can improve in their weakest areas and practice their best.
I attend a top university in the UK well known for its creative writing success, and I have previous experience as Young Poet Laureate for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in 2013/14.
Natalie is a calm, collected person and brilliant to talk to about English. She's trustworthy and will do what she says she'll do; she won't let you down if she's promised to do something. She's interesting when she talks about something she is passionate about, and English is definitely something she is passionate about. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor.
Natalie is a friendly and trustworthy women, i have known her for over 5 years and i have found her the easiest person to get on with. I think she'd make a great tutor as she is so easy to be with and is very patient.
