About Sarah
I am a native English speaker with a clear, neutral British accent that is easy to understand.
I obtained my TEFL qualification in 2016 and I have been teaching English online since June 2017. During this time, I have helped hundreds of students improve their English skills.
Prior to teaching English online, I was a lawyer in the UK for 12 years. I retired from the legal profession in 2016 to go travelling. Since that time, I have lived in Italy, Australia and travelled around South East Asia.

My aim is to help you improve your speaking and listening skills through informal conversation. We can talk about any subject and, as a lawyer, I am used to asking lots of questions. I find this extremely useful when trying to encourage students to talk.
As well as helping students with conversational English, my background as a lawyer is ideal for helping students improve their business English. I am also experienced in interviewing candidates for jobs. Therefore, if you have an upcoming interview then I can help you prepare.
If you would like to improve your reading skills then we can go through an article during the lesson. I will listen to you read aloud and then help you with pronunciation and new vocabulary. I can also help with writing.
I can help intermediate or advanced students.
