About Krisiten
I am an elementary educator with an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning. I completed the Teach For America program and taught in two public elementary schools, including Title I and Title III schools. Working with diverse learners has strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, build student confidence, and help every child reach their full potential in a supportive, encouraging environment.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet their individual needs and learning style. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to build confidence while strengthening reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
A typical lesson includes a brief review, direct instruction on a targeted skill, guided practice, interactive activities or games, and independent practice with constructive feedback. I use positive reinforcement and real-world connections to keep students motivated and involved.
What sets me apart is my experience as an elementary classroom teacher and my M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning. I understand how to identify learning gaps, adapt instruction, and help students make meaningful progress in a supportive environment.
My tutoring is designed for students in grades 2–4 who need extra support, enrichment, or help building strong English Language Arts and reading skills.
