About Nandi

I am a professional ESL Tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, specializing in English instruction for learners of different ages and abilities. I provide well-prepared, personalized lessons in a supportive and professional environment. My goal is to help every student improve their English skills, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals.

About the lesson

I believe that every learner is different, and my goal is to make learning feel comfortable, enjoyable, and achievable. I am a patient and supportive tutor who takes the time to understand what each student struggles with and then adapts my teaching style to suit them.

I use simple explanations, real-life examples, repetition, pictures, questions, and interactive activities to make lessons easier to understand and remember. For younger learners, I also use TPR, visuals, and fun activities to keep them engaged. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because I believe mistakes are an important part of learning.

We start with a friendly introduction and a quick review of previous work. I then introduce the day's topic and explain it step by step. The student gets plenty of opportunities to practice through questions, reading, speaking, exercises, or activities. Throughout the lesson, I check their understanding and provide gentle corrections and encouragement. We finish by reviewing what we learned and identifying what the student should continue practicing.

I don't believe in rushing students or making them feel embarrassed when they don't understand something. I am patient and willing to explain a concept in different ways until it makes sense. With my experience teaching both online and in person, I have worked with learners with different abilities and learning speeds. I genuinely enjoy seeing a student go from saying "I don't understand" to confidently saying "I can do it!"

I offer lessons to primary and high school learners, as well as adults who want to improve their English. I can help with English reading, writing, speaking, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and communication skills. I also assist learners with homework, tests and examination preparation.

Whether you need help improving your English, preparing for an exam, or simply want to become more confident, I would love to help you reach yo

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Nandi for all the help this past term. Going into Grade 11, the workload jumped up a lot and certain subjects were getting really tough, but Nandi completely turned things around for me. She was super patient, broke down complex topics into steps that actually made sense, and gave me practical techniques to prepare for my exams. Thanks to her guidance, my third-term certificate and overall marks improved significantly, and my confidence is way higher now. I’d highly recommend her tutoring services to anyone struggling or just wanting to level up their grades. Sho Mam
