About Seb
I hold a Psychology BSc from the University of Liverpool and have one year of experience mentoring 14–16‑year‑olds in a school setting, providing 1:1 support for behavioural and SEN needs. I also have a full year of tutoring through alternative provisions, delivering GCSE English, Maths and Science to students who are outside mainstream education.
I’m calm, patient and structured, and I adapt my approach to each learner’s pace, confidence and needs. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing and watching football, playing chess, and teaching myself new skills - I’m currently learning Spanish and improving my chess strategy. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys helping students build confidence in their own learning too.

I teach GCSE Maths across all major exam boards, following a clear and structured approach to all core topics. I use a wide range of high‑quality resources, including personalised materials I create myself, and I tailor the pace and style of teaching to each student’s needs and confidence.
Lessons focus on building strong understanding, practising exam‑style questions and developing familiarity with the wording, structure and expectations of the exam. I make use of interactive whiteboard tools and step‑by‑step modelling to break down methods clearly and support students who benefit from visual, guided explanations.
Sessions are usually one hour, but I can offer shorter or longer lessons depending on what works best for the learner.
