About Daniel
I am a third-year archaeology student at Durham University and I would like to become a secondary school science teacher after I graduate from university. For me, online tutoring is a unique opportunity to practise teaching this subject, as I find that one-on-one sessions are especially useful as they increase the speed at which students are able to learn and progress in a subject as I can tailor each session to the students' specific needs.

I teach my classes virtually, over Zoom or Google Meet. I utilise the screen sharing function in order to share resources with students such as question and information packs, and customised quizzes which target the students' weak points. I teach in one-hour slots which can either target the topics which yield the highest marks in the exams, or topics which the students are struggling in and request themselves. Usually, students opt for one of these one-hour sessions a week, although there is an option to increase sessions before mock exam and exam periods.
