About Willa
With 15 years of ESL tutoring experience, I specialise in creating dynamic and student-centred English lessons for school and college students. My classes focus on practical communication skills, academic language, and exam preparation, all adapted to the individual learner’s needs.
I employ innovative teaching strategies, such as immersive role-plays, storytelling, and digital tools, to help students grasp concepts quickly and remember them effectively. I encourage active participation, ensuring every student practises speaking, listening, reading, and writing in meaningful contexts.
My goal is to build not only language proficiency but also confidence and curiosity, helping students overcome challenges and enjoy the process of learning English. I follow a C³P teaching methodology—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving—to make ESL lessons engaging and practical. Creativity is fostered through storytelling, role-playing, and project-based exercises that encourage students to experiment with language and express themselves confidently.
Communication is emphasised through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that strengthen fluency, comprehension, and real-life communication skills. Compassion ensures lessons are personalised for each student, offering guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to build confidence and motivation.
Problem-solving is embedded through scenario-based exercises, analytical tasks, and real-life challenges that enable learners to apply English skills effectively while developing critical thinking. I also teach complementary subjects such as reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary enrichment for holistic learning.
This methodology equips learners to be creative, confident, empathetic, and capable of applying English successfully in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
