About Sarah
Hello! I am Miss Sarah Mahmud, a dedicated and qualified science educator with over 15 years of private tutoring experience and 10 years of classroom teaching across the UK, UAE, and China. I hold a PGCE in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, alongside a Master’s in Education with a specialism in STEM education. My passion lies in helping students build confidence and mastery in the sciences—particularly in Chemistry, which is my area of specialism, but I also teach Biology and Physics up to GCSE level. Throughout my career, I’ve supported a wide range of learners: from students striving for top grades in Triple Science to those needing step-by-step support to grasp key concepts. I have a deep understanding of all the major UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and IGCSE), and I tailor every lesson to the learner’s goals, pace, and learning style. Outside of tutoring, I stay active in the education space through curriculum development, mentoring trainee teachers, and continuing research into STEM education practices. My mission is to make science accessible, enjoyable, and empowering for every student I teach.

I am a passionate and experienced GCSE and A-Level Science tutor, offering expert support in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, with a specialism in Chemistry. With over 15 years of tutoring experience and a decade of classroom teaching, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a results-driven approach.
