In our lessons, we will work through the syllabus in an exciting and engaging way. Students who need tutoring often find the content they learn in school dull, so I aim to make my lessons interactive, encouraging student participation through educational games and positive feedback. Before devising a bespoke lesson plan, I will assess where and why your child might be struggling in GCSE English, which will help me to target their specific learning needs.
We will work through set texts in a way that focuses not just on the key facts, but helping your child to gain a deep understanding of why the literature is important, and how to infer meaning from it. This is a core skill not just at GCSE but can be applied to all of the other humanities subjects they will be studying. Once I teach your child to view literature from an analytical level, they will be able to apply their knowledge any text they wish!
