About Shannon
I have always had a passion for learning and, unsurprisingly, my three years of study culminated in me majoring in ‘Education and Psychology’ at Oxford University - gaining a distinction in my first year of studies. I have tutored for 3 years now working with a range of students from 5-16 years old. My two specialisms lie in preparation for Entrance Exams (including the 7+/11+/14+) and Maths GCSE tuition, particularly in transforming students who struggle with mathematics into confident high achievers. Most recently I have successfully tutored students who have gained entry into Emanuel School, Alleyns, JAGs, Townley and Millfield School. My tutoring style is personal, open and ambitious - I believe that every student I take on can fulfil their potential with the right support. Each lesson is rigorously planned yet readily adaptable so that measurable progress is made. I am in the business of building confidence. My students are encouraged to master the basics whilst also stretching their knowledge in ways that they may have not got a chance to in their school environment.
