About Holly
I am a law student at New College, University of Oxford. I focus primarily on law admissions prep, including LNAT practice, super-curricular support, personal statement help and interview preparation. I also have experience tutoring A-Level history and politics, as well as GCSE maths, English, history and science. I have experience with the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I am always excited to meet new students and get to know how they learn best. I believe the student-tutor dynamic should be at the heart of a good tutoring set-up, and am eager to ensure that my students learn to love their subjects and develop high levels of critical analysis and an ability to articulate their thoughts in the concise and well-argued manner required of an Oxbridge student. My qualifications: - University of Oxford - BA Jurisprudence (currently studying). - Three A*s at A-Level in History, Politics and Maths - Nine 9’s and two 8’s at GCSE. - A* in an EPQ on the efficacy of the law in the prevention of domestic abuse. I begin my study of BA Jurisprudence at Oxford in October 2025, having just gone through the application process myself. I am extremely familiar with what is required to make one's application stand out, as well as how to prepare for the (often infamous) LNAT! I founded the law society at my school, supporting students with their law admission preparation, and am therefore confident in my ability to nurture students' passion for the law and set them up for success in their application to university, in particular Oxbridge. I tailor my lessons to each individual student, identifying how they work best and what is most helpful for them depending on where they are in their application journey. Initial sessions typically begin with a conversation about the basics of application including reading, super-curriculars, the LNAT and the interview. I help students to identify what areas of the law they are most passionate about and collate reading materials and resources that strengthen their application and nurture their passion for the law. I make sure that students are confident with the LNAT to ensure their application is exceptional on paper alongside interview prep, by working through LNAT questions and essays together, and marking/giving feedback on any additional work the student does outside of sessions.
