About Harry
I started tutoring English and mathematics during my undergraduate. I then went on to teach philosophy there too, continuing that into my Master's studies. On top of that, I gave volunteer philosophical discussion classes to schools around Reading University.
Philosophy is bound up with our lives, and teaching the skills of good philosophical thought and clarity of expression is very rewarding. Time and time again I have gone back to teaching work proactively and when offered it. In line with that, I will lecture undergraduate finalists in 2024.
Philosophy is central to my everyday life. Not a day goes by without thinking about something philosophical. I have published 2 articles, and hope to publish more when time permits.
My specialty is Late Wittgensteinian Philosophy, so if you wish to learn more about Wittgenstein, I am the person for you. On top of that, my broad and high-level philosophical education places me well to teach any philosophical topic.

I provide thorough and well-placed lessons focussing on quality of thought and its presentation. They are underpinned by back and forth dialogue, which is a staple of philosophical development, and so too of my lessons. A focus on understanding the historical development of philosophical theses, and most importantly how they can be resolved, is the primary aim of my lessons.
Having taught philosophy at Oxford summer schools and privately, I know how rewarding it is to help facilitate that flash of philosophical understanding. I will lecture in philosophy at Reading University in 2024, continuing to help budding philosophers. My lessons are aimed for the A-level student and the undergraduate student, but anyone looking to build rigorous philosophical ability is well suited for them.
