About Marnie
I achieved an A* grade in A Level Psychology and Religious Studies and an A grade in History in the 2019 exam series which means I have a sufficient understanding of how the exam and course structure works. At Oxford, I am studying Philosophy and Theology hence I am well able to teach up to an A Level standard of Philosophy, Theology, Religious Studies and Ethics.
I have been tutoring multiple students from KS3 to A Level online for the past six months. I am good at working with people from various different age groups and learning backgrounds so I am proficient at adapting my teaching methods accordingly.

I work well with students who learn pictorially, teaching by using imagery and thought experiments to cement learning and understanding and encourage students to think critically. Half of the lessons I would work on explaining the theory behind the learning material and using repetition and probing questions I would ensure that the student understands and can recall from memory what I had just taught. The other half I would focus on improving exam technique as this is essential in humanity A Levels and Psychology so that students can effectively answer questions, particularly more tricky ones identifying what examiners are looking for.
