About Sharika
I am passionate about working with pupils with a lot of potential but face barriers to learning. I have worked in both primary and secondary as a TA and have thoroughly enjoyed working with a range of ages.
If you feel behind I could help you catch up because I was once in your shoes so I understand the overwhelming feeling of trying but feel like failing!
I love learning about poems, annotating was my favourite in school.

My techniques include: Demonstrating learning and working together using;
Scaffolding: Using a topic statement i.e. my holidays and having supporting details with a sentence starter for each paragraph to act as a skeleton as a support.
Using visuals: Demonstrating ideas on a whiteboard and use of flashcards to show keywords, diagrams or how I would structure a sentence.
Lesson targets: Writing a learning objective to set the intention of lesson and revisit if met at the end.
40 mins- 1 hour
I work as an ALN TA in a secondary school and have vast primary school experience so I work with ages 3-16
