About Jodi
Hello, my name is Jodi Wilson and I am from Branford, FL. I am passionate about the English language and the methods by which to study it. I am currently pursuing my B.A. in English and Creative Writing. My grandmother has nurtured my love for grammar, vocabulary, and writing. She was a paraprofessional, teacher, and special education tutor for many years. I was her student, not because I needed her services, but because she saw potential in me. I strive to see the potential in others and seek to adapt my tutoring style to the student's needs. I love to watch students succeed by teaching to their unique learning styles.

I have tutored mainly middle and high school students needing homework help. Students should have a lesson plan from their teachers that we could walk through. I will aid the student in paying close attention to the details of his/her teacher's instructions. I am able to craft vocabulary tests in multiple formats to suit the student's needs and grade level. I am willing to start below the student's grade level if need be to enhance his/her understanding of the topic or assignment. Methods such as memory games, flashcards, and google form quizzes are some of the tools I use when tutoring. I am also open to forming lesson plans with the student to address his/her particular desires for academic growth in English vocabulary, literature, and grammar.
