Each student that takes me on as a tutor will receive their own personally suited lessons. Each person learns and obtains knowledge in a unique way. Some work well with writing notes, some work well with flashing visual ques, some work well with general discussion or even mind-maps. Once the tutoring begins it will be an ongoing process of working out the correct way to learn the subject effectively, and enjoyably.
I have recently completed my Masters Degree with a 2.1 in Philosophy and am now looking to pass on the knowledge that I have gained to others! I am an easy-going person with a passion for education. I understand each person learns differently which I think standard school education fails to recognise. I look to bring fun learning around the subjects I teach and there is nothing better than when you truly understand the answers and problems. Philosophy I believe melds well into the other subjects as it promotes critical thinking which is invaluable for any subject you wish to learn! I received all B's and above for the core subjects at GCSE level, and would be happy to tutor for any other subjects. I am flexible with availability and am happy to tutor any age group and level. In September I will be pursuing a diploma in psychology but will still be available to students. If you need anymore information please do not hesitate to contact me on the details provided. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly person who thoroughly enjoys new experiences and tasks put in front of him. I believe, in any job, that a person must always make a conscious effort to excel and perform to the highest of his/her ability and I believe I am one of those people. I thrive under pressure and enjoy working out problems and issues if any occur. In my previous experiences in school, university and sports I find myself working very well with teams. As well as being open to ideas, I understand the importance in making decisions and take pride in coming up with solutions or answers when needed.

Graduate – Bachelors Degree: 2:1, Integrated Masters Degree: 2:1.
I have recently completed my Integrated Masters degree in Philosophy after graduating with a 2:1 in my Bachelors Degree. During my time studying philosophy, I gained great insight into the world we live in. I have developed an understanding of critical, but sometimes unnoticed parts of working life as well as a great deal of analysis around ethical views. It has allowed me to ground my own moral ethic and placed me in a position of knowing what I stand for as a person in a very critical manner. For my Masters dissertation I worked around theories of consciousness, trying to understand human experience in its most basic but nevertheless, imperative form. It is this type of knowledge, I believe, allows me to be not only open, but thoughtful of the way everyone presents themselves. This allows me to be aware of differing ideas that we all possess but also, critical and direct of these ideas when need be. This insight has allowed me to be more creative with my idea. Not only this, but the experience of university has given me much more than just knowledge into a specified subject. I joined various sports teams and strived with all of them in the development of our skills as well as our bond as a team and friends. Overall my time at university allowed me to be more creative, independent, critical and more open-minded than I could have ever hoped for.

The Royal Oak
38 High St
Job Occupation – Bar Staff
Work Placement Duration: August 2015 – February 2016
Towards the end of my 2nd Year of University I decided to get a job at a local pub in my University town of Lampeter. It was a new business which recently started up again as previous owners had left the establishment. The two new owners were very welcoming and hired me straight away and I hoped to live up to every expectation they had of me. As it was a new business I would help the owners come up with new ideas, meals and drinks to get the pub going. We introduced a front and back outside eating area with cover and seating as well as new cocktails and meals. Specials for food were thought of and discussed and along with the new cocktails, special events such as live music and themed nights were held. Even though I did not have much time at this place of work due to the owners moving elsewhere, I still had the opportunity to become extremely creative within my job by trying new things and was also able to understand what a business needs and how to make the business and service enticing for customers.
