I am a first year History student studying at the University of Cardiff. I am able to tutor up to and including GCSE in History and English Literature. I am enthusiastic to teach and help students progress. The way in which I will teach will depend on the students ability, year of study and exam board.
My teaching method is based on understanding mark schemes and enabling student to write in a way that is specifically required by the exam board. I also engage the students by making their weaknesses a priority and engaging with them in a way that increases confidence and thus ability.
My lessons are targeted towards students who are either approaching or taking their GCSE's and A-Levels I divide my classes into three parts; 1)The narrative of the topic 2) Themes of the topic 3) Application in coursework By doing so I hope to give a strong knowledge of the subject that will allow the pupil to easily recall facts but also to understand and interprets these facts in a...
How can we expect pupils to be enthused with history if our lessons are not enthusing? My lessons will be tailored to the individual but are designed to be as interactive as possible. I believe that through the use of creative writing, music and sometimes drama, pupils can interact with history and see that the subject is relatable to the modern world.
I like to go at a steady pace to make sure my students are comfortable and give practical examples in each lesson to ensure students are fully understanding the material I'm delivering.

Each student that takes me on as a tutor will receive their own personally suited lessons. Each person learns and obtains knowledge in a unique way. Some work well with writing notes, some work well with flashing visual ques, some work well with general discussion or even mind-maps.
I believe in that everyone has strength and what to learn easier what I aim to find by several methods. I describe and show the task more times if needed, as long as my students confident to solve it and then develop their skills step by step to maximise their results and experience.
