About Keena

I have a background in social work, which has equipped me with strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to support individuals in a respectful and understanding way. Through my studies and practical experience, I have learned how to adapt my approach to meet each person’s unique needs.

I also have experience tutoring high school students, where I discovered how much I enjoy one-on-one teaching. Working individually with learners has allowed me to build a supportive learning environment, help students gain confidence, and tailor lessons to suit their pace and goals.

I am professional, approachable, and committed to helping students improve their English in a way that feels comfortable, engaging, and effective.

About the lesson

I take a supportive, student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to the learner’s needs and pace. I focus on conversation and real-life communication, creating a relaxed space where students feel comfortable to speak, make mistakes, and build confidence. As someone who enjoys reading, I often include short texts or discussion topics to improve vocabulary and understanding.

I teach in English and aim to keep lessons engaging and practical. A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary building, and gentle guidance on grammar and pronunciation.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate students, especially those who want to improve their conversational skills in a relaxed, enjoyable way.
