About Courtney
My aim is to establish an effective teaching method that benefits your child. I strongly believe some individuals learn through listening, others through visual - videos etc and some via verbal communication. It is important to me, to find the right method that suits your child, to enable us to achieve our goals together quickly and efficiently. I want to offer guidance, support and ultimately give him/her confidence to ensure that they feel more than capable to overcome their struggles. Education can be scary, not understanding something is daunting and I am here to help and put these thoughts to bed to make school a more enjoyable place. I am more than happy to help with a range of things; homework, grammar, comprehension, helping students who have English as a second language. I believe nothing is impossible and I can’t wait to demonstrate this to your child. Ultimately, I want to see your child succeed and that is what strives me to continue to tutor.
I have experience working in schools with children who have special needs such as autism, asperges and learning difficulties. I have also closely worked with children who suffer from behavioural problems; I have a calming influence and work with them well as I establish a quick rapport with the child to boost their confidence around me. I like to add a little bit of humour and a big smile to make it a more enjoyable environment for a child who may struggle in certain environments. I have also worked with children and young adults in a professional surrounding; schools/colleges and support centres who do not have English as a first language, I have helped them with a variety of things such as grammar, sentence structure to reading. Putting this into perspective, I think I am a well rounded tutor with lots of invaluable experience.

I had Courtney for my daughter who was sitting her gcse english this year and my daughter found her very easy to talk to and courtney explained everything well so my daughter had a much better understanding of what to expect . courtney is a very talented young lady who is professional and always fits in with the students time slots.
