About Cecelia
Working with children is something I truly care about, and I take pride in creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions. I am dependable, patient, and committed to helping every student feel confident in their abilities.
I have several years of experience working with children through nannying, babysitting, and substitute teaching, which has allowed me to build strong relationships with students and families while developing the skills needed to support a wide range of learners.
Outside of education, I love spending time outdoors, going for runs, and trying new coffee shops—I'm a big coffee fan! I also enjoy fashion and expressing creativity through personal style. When I’m not studying or tutoring, I nanny on the side, which allows me to continue doing what I love most: working with and supporting kids.

Hi! My name is Cecelia, and I am about to graduate from East Carolina University with my Elementary Education license. I am passionate about helping young learners grow confidence in their reading, writing, grammar, and overall English skills while making learning engaging and meaningful.
My tutoring approach focuses on building strong foundational skills while supporting each student as an individual learner. I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor lessons to fit each student’s needs, pace, and learning style. A typical lesson may include reading comprehension practice, writing activities, grammar work, or vocabulary building, often through interactive discussions, creative prompts, and engaging activities rather than repetitive worksheets.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students and build positive relationships with them. I love getting to know my students and incorporating their specific interests into lessons to keep them motivated and excited about learning. I also strongly emphasize a growth mindset, helping students understand that mistakes are part of learning and encouraging them to build confidence as they develop new skills.
My lessons are designed for elementary students who want extra support or enrichment in reading, writing, grammar, and English skills. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student feels capable and successful.
